Im aiming for 400-450ish whp with my FC.Would this be the best size turbo for me or should I go with a T04 of somekind?

I've seen a similar size turbo make 470 at less than 20 psi, so this may be too large for what you are shooting right. This was on race gas however.

It depends of the cfm flow of the turbo..the trim, a/r, all that stuff. and remember the hp numbers given to that turbo are what they can support. that don't mean your going to make that much power. My T04E is rated to support 475 hp..but I'm only looking for 400 shaft hp.

470whp is not to large for my goal like 495-500 is.

Do you want 400-450 or 500?

4RotorRocket 12-16-2003 04:11 PM

just about anything under 500

Midnightdriver 12-16-2003 04:18 PM

Look into turbonetics To4e B.B. turbos you can get one that will support that with no problem. just ask for the T04e 60-1 , Q trim. you'll be in the range you want.

Then you will have to determine how much lag you are willing to deal with and what kind of powerband you want. Remember, a t66 is about the same size as a greddy t78.

How are they about the same size...im thinking of a 50 shot for lagg.

Greddy uses a retarded sizing system.
