Hey all

I've ran my 40mm HKS wastegate with both vacuum lines going to the manifold and then, with only the side line to the manfold leaving the top one with nothing on it... With the one line the wastegate makes its loud noise when boost level achieved, but with both lines on the manifold it doesn't make the sound......Which is correct? BTW it NOT plumbed into the DP

Leave the top one disconnected. Your "loud noise" is the wastegate opening at it's setpoint. When you had both lines connected the wastegate was being held closed and your boost was still climbing.

If you're gonna be messing with that you better do some research, or your next post will be "I was racing this hooked up Type R, YO! Shiftin MAD quick! I heard a bang and now my car runs like ****! Rotaries SUCK!"

I may be mistaken but the side one goes to the Blow-Of valve and the top one is for a boost controller.

No, the side is for turbo pressure. You only use the top port with an EBC.

Blow off valve has to be connected between throttle plates and engine. It has to see vacuum when you close the throttle so it will open.

He gave some good advice, no need to be sore about it.

I know I sounded like a jerk, sorry. But if you don't know what you're doing, why are you doing it? Rotaries already have a bad reputation for fragility, and a lot of that comes from people who don't know what they're doing.

Your post doesn't make any sense.

Ya know, when I added the two lines I just wanted to see how the car the car would re-act and not under heavy boost..... I have 496rwhp @ 20psi so don't make it sound like I don't know what I'm doing...

sorry for acting like a *****, its early!
