im currently in the process of installing a gt35r in my fd. after alot of research i decided that it was the best turbo for what i do with my car. you have to ask yourself what your needs are. street/strip, road coarse, full out drag or whatever.

all i have to say is "GO BALLBEARING". it's more money but well worth it...

Going ball bearing is NOT worth it. 200 rpm spool difference is worth it? having to almost spend as much as the turbo itself on a overhaul is worth it?

Well your aware that there is a large list. Hopfully you realise how much work/fabbing will actualy be required to knock down everythign ont he list. That is why Ted said its not worth it, the gains do not outweight the effort required. But if you got a good deal and are willing to do that work I wish you good luck.

The only major obsticle is the engine mount after that its pretty simple.

Of course you must go with a stand alone ecu but your probably going to do that anyway.

I have 400RWHP on a street port and 1 bar of boost and I am not even pushing my engine hard. A 13BT will handle 400RWHP that easily?

To each his own. Most people swap in all FD internals when rebuilding. Then port the hell out of the engine to get it to breath. I decided to just swap the whole engine. My swap cost a fortune but I spared no expense it can be done on a decent budget. You only major obsticle like I said is an engine mount. Otherwise this swap is no different than a 13B-RE swap.

That wasn't his question.

As stated above, check out Precision Turbo. Ive delt with them and I find thier service to be a step above the others. I also agree with avoiding ball-bearing setups....the cost $$ vs the benefit is not worth it. Plus despite what some may say a ball bearing unit is NOT rebuildable. They just replace it.

A good sized T04 turbo will add incredible amounts of power , and added reliability through reduced heat load. Look for a T04 with a P-Trim exhaust and 1.0 or 1.15 A/R , and a 60-1 compressor in an A/R 0.70 cover. Running the same amount of boost you should expect around 30% gains in power !
