I never ran at the track, just a few street races now and then.

Do you think it would just be less complicated for me to go to the gt35/40r instead. Do you think I would have a friendlier street car with the gt35/40r.What about using the gt35/40r the use nitrous for only drag racing...like a 75shot.What do you think about that?

Personally, I hate nitrous. I think its a waste of time and money, especially with a turbo setup. Others may disagree, but it just complicates the setup to me. The gt35/40 is a great setup and proven to provide a good spooling street car with great power. Most of the dyno sheets i've seen for that turbo have been around 400-425rwhp @ 15psi. Also realize, just about any of these turbo kits make that much power at 15psi. The profiecancy of these single turbos really begin to show after 15psi. However, once you go above 15psi the already important tuning becomes even more vital to the engine life. I ran 18psi for 3 years on the same motor, both on the apexi turbo and on the t62-1. The difference between 15psi and 18psi was enormous, and even more so on the bigger turbo. Also realize wheel spinning at 300rwhp is going to be much different than wheel spinning on a 400+rwhp setup. There is no reason why the gt35/50 couldn't hit 450rwhp around the 18psi mark. I never ran water injection, but I would recommend water injection above 15psi for safety. I feel comforatable running 20psi on water, but after that you're on your own.

Oh also, once you get above 400rwhp for a street/dragger, you're going to be plenty fast to beat just about anything in the "street" category. So I wouldn't lose sleep over finding ways to increase the power for "track" use.

Can you tune well enough for a 75 shot? I can't...not across the power band to red line. Have you ever?

i got have a T04R, and i dyno-d at 438, i break loose all the way up through 3rd.. while i agree that you can use it on the track, sometimes, its just completely un-streetable lol.

if you are dealing with it track only, i suppose you could just use nitrous to spool, and then once you're spooled it doesnt really matter, you know?

if you want to use it track and street, i'd say that you're probably better off (supposing you got alot of random cash to push) to do a custom twin turbo app.

it would be pretty phenomenal to have 2 medium sized turbos being pushed.

If you want just a plain kick-*** street car with enough hp to wax Z06's and stock Vipers soundly-and still have good driving characteristics-get the 35/40 kit and be done with it. The 40R kit will give you more top end power but there will be more lag. How much more, I don't know to be honest. But I'll know soon enough when mine arrives!

Well, if Tony sends me his (too cold for him to use it!) much sooner :-) Dunno actually, turbo is was supposed to arrive any day now. Then it's just a matter of slapping her on and heading to the dyno. I do have experience with the compressor wheel on this puppy as I have it on my modified T78 currently. It has one hell of a top end.
