I figured I would post this in a couple of forums and see what I can find out from you guys. Basically I have just completed a single turbo conversion, fuel system work, and installed a set of K2 block-off plates. So I have removed the air pump and everything else except the ISC.

Now the car starts up just fine, idles decent.. a little bit high for my taste but smooth and I figured I can work that out once I solve the stalling issue. Now when I pull out and drive around it runs great, no issues at all.. the problem is when I come to a stop. Half the time when I roll in for a stop, push in the clutch .. uggh.. it just dies. Once in a while it will catch itself but not often, it just keeps dying on me constantly.

I had this problem before on an old Supra of mine and it turned out to be a bad TPS sensor, but I have tested mine twice now and it is within spec. I can't seem to find the problem, the only thing I can think of is that the motor is not happy without the extra air being pumped in by the air pump at low rpm/idle. Any ideas? I am sure someone has experienced this. BTW, I am running the PFC and I already replaced the LIM and UIM gaskets. Thanks for any help!

what about the wax rod screw. have you messes with it any or is it all in or out. i had a problem with it once, an di would occasionally see the stalling as well as more of an issue with starting in general.....

Well I am pretty sure I have all the vacuum lines double checked, there are so few now.. all I have is the FPR, BOV, boost gauge, oil injectors, and the PCV stuff. The injectors have all new o-rings.. the only thing I did not replace are rubber seats that the secondaries sit on.. hmm.

I have the coolant through the TB bypassed, the fast idle cam screw is adjusted so that the throttle stop cannot interfere with the throttle.. basically it is wired open/disabled.

cool. sounds like it *could* be the fpr. did the vacuum hose some off of it. it can happen and you really won't know b/c it is so out of the way....

Nah, I know for sure it isn't the fpr.. I have the SX mounted right in front of the UIM. Plus after it dies it will fire right up and run fine, I am going to mess around with my dashpot and the PFC a little bit and tweak it. Plus I messed around with all the throttle screws so I am still trying to get things back to where they were, very frustrating though.

Check the dashpot screw, mine would die with electrical load untill i adjusted the screw. Also check the clutch switch, its on the drivers side floor, makes contact with the clutch....little white piece thingy as far as I remember. It should pop out and not stick.

this should be a easy one.. pick up the commander and go to settings then to Rev/Idle now set the idle a/e and e/l up to around 1000 rpm and set the F/C A/E and F/C E/L setting to around 1300 rpm and this should fix your problem, you may also need to add a little fuel to the blocks your car Idles in on the fuel correction map due to the better flowing manifold and turbo. You can find out which blocks these are by going to the map trace function on the commander and looking at what blocks are highlighted during idle...

Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys, I've gotten more help here than on another forum I won't name. On a suggestion from a couple of people I went out to the sensor check screen on the PFC and discovered I had a bad clutch switch.. already got a new one at the dealer and swapped it in. It's always some $12 part throwing a wrench into things isn't it? I didn't test the car out though, I am waiting for this weekend because I need to recharge my PC680.. getting the charger today.

I will also up the idle settings on the PFC, I turned off O2 idle control, and I plan on double checking the dashpot engagement point. I have a feeling that the clutch switch is going to solve 90% of the problems I have had.
