There seems lately to be a strong interest in single turbo conversions for FDs. There have been many people converting and many planning or are considering it. I'd like to know from the people that have already converted what their honest opions are on this major decision. I think it would help all of us that are doing it or considering doing this. I'm looking for honest posts of both the "good, the bad and the ugly".

I think this conversion is not just for the racers (drag and road).

It took me a while to finally get a good single setup that ran good. It was expensive and I blew a motor in the process of tuning. I still have a few bugs to work out, which will be done on the dyno very soon. My last attempt on the dyno went bad due to a couple of haltech ignition wires that needed to be switched around. After I found the problem the car screams. There is nothing you can compare a high horsepower single turbo rx7 to. I use the apexi rx6 turbo with a street port at 18psi. It can be used for any application of racing and is great for the street.

My single turbo setup should be done around Janurary. I guess I have to wait just like Vosko to tell you how I feel after going with this setup.
