FD intake manifold into 1991 13b

hello, im victor from the dominican republic, i have a 1979 fb with a 1991 13b as the power plant... i need a little help from any of u...



the issue is that i have a FD intake manifold (1994) and i wonder if it will fit my 1991 13b engine, and if it will make any improvement to it....

Will not bolt up without an adaptor.

errg... why? wath kind of adapter? anyone here have done this before????

Compare the places where you could make the manifolds meet by looking at the gaskets here: http://www.mazdatrix.com/c-2.htm



I'm looking to do the same type of thing because of going turbo, and the only way I can figure to do it is fab a spacer to go between the upper and lower intake manifolds (about 2inches is needed to make the FD UIM clear the housings). Between the UIM and LIM is the only place the ports are close and the bolts match.

if where they meet is relatively the same size you can press studs into the holes and redrill to match the other. just make sure that your runners line up.
