3/8" is normal, 1/2" will work fine. What steel is it?

I'd use the 1/2 you have there. When welding the tubes to it you will have less chance of warping the flanges.

Cool,Thanks guys.I plan on using a Turbo II exhaust manifold gasket as a template.I can cut the external demensions tomorow with my torch until I get the gasket here tho. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

if you warp the flange can't u rehone it after?
It's kind of hard to warp the flange for a rotary. There are only 2 runners.... So the weld cant really pull the edges up. |
