I am trying to replace my spring on my HKS external wastegate. I have all 4 of the allen bolts out and the cover will not come off its almost like something inside is holding it on.



Am I retarded did I miss something?

another angle - do I pull off the red diaphram to get the cover off??

Yep, should come right off.. the only thing I can think of is maybe the sping is stuck fairly tight in the holders... give it a yank..

I didn't it took a little wiggling but it came off. I am going to have to look into a custom setup soon. The wastegate housing touches my downpipe. I do not like how tight a fit it is. I am sure this will affect it in the long run.



Right now I am shopping for some piping to run to and from the wastegate instead of rubber hose.

put a small dent in your down pipe, problem solved..



Run Stainless Steel hose to and from the wasgate.. you can get it and all the -an fittings from www.summitracing.com
