I have an opportunity to pick up a TWM 50mm IDA style throttle body for a decent price. I'm curious if it will give any significant benefit over stock style turbo intake manifolds for a boosted setup. I intend to essentially run this as an ITB with a plenum before the throttles in the intake track.

I currently run a gutted/ported s5 style turbo intake and TB. I am aware that some high-end boosted cars boost through ITB's but I would like to hear from you great technical minds here what the actual benefits (if any) would be over stock manifolding.

I am not a worshipper at the table of ITB's and don't think this will perform miracles, but from an engineering perspective, which is better for boost? I already know which way I'd go NA.

thanks
