Did you guys just tee off an existing vacuum line or is there an actual spot on the manifold where I can use the handy adapters provide and thread it in there? If so where?
Thanks |
the t2 makes you "t" it in with something, the blow off valve or the map sensor is good.

89-91's have a spot that is capped on the UIM. i don't think the 86-88's have it. erik showed me https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

thxs i was just gonna ask this, finally got around to putting in my gauges.
|
I'll just snag a t and t into the map sensor.

i would use a dedicated hose for each vacume source. you can buy 1/8 NPT threaded nipples from places like McMaster-Carr and tap each its own. (boost guage, FPR, bov, WG, map....) i dont know anything about your car or how far along it is from stock, but this is my suguestion if you are needing to *T* something.

so to "T" or not to "T" is the question.
|
if you needing *t's*, then i say bust out the drill and tap and go right down the manifold making dedicated nipples. i dont think that T'ing will cause any major problems, but why risk it for the 15 minutes of labor it would take. its gonna take you 15 minutes to go to PePBoys to get the help t's... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

ahah, actuall i have Ts in my garage https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png , but i guess your right, I will just seek true, dedicated vac sources.
