Gentlemen (and ladies if any)

Is it worth while to install a blow-off valve? Does it really prolong the life of ones turbo, or does it do nothing more then make a cool sound.

Your car already has one. That's all you need.

The only reason you'll need to upgrade the stock bov is if you are running more than 12 psi ... untill them you dont need to change it. But a open bov does make a little better sound.

what car is this for and how much psi are you running? at higher boost levels, they're almost a must for street cars and road/track type cars.

reason to get the bov is the sound lol, well unless you are running in the high boost level.

The stock BOV is small.. upgrading to a bigger one will extend the life of the thrust bearings in the turbo... The cheap gay ones that whoosh are worthless.. I would recoment the :bow:Greaddy Racing one.. It kicks ***.. :bigthumg:

hehehe, I saw an MR2 turbo at the shop where my truck is at.. That thing had an HKS BOV and it was loud, it looked ridiculous in the engine compartment cause it was the only aftermarket item on a totally stock engine..

Is there a good BOV that makes very little or no noise.. I don't want advertise that my truck has turbo to the world.. I just want the benefits..

those blow offs will leak boost when you start making over 15psi.. they also don't flow nearly as much air as the greaddy racing one will and there for not as effective..
