Best Boost Controller

I use an AVC-R which takes a bit of work to get set up. Once dialed in, it's great. You're able to adjust boost and duty cycle by RPM which is great. The Blitz is able to adjust boost by gear which I would love. Then there's this little unit which controls boost over rpm AND by gear.

Then I looked at the price and realized I'd be halfway to a Motec stand alone w/ built in boost control that does all I ask it to do. What a joke. $1139 is a bit much for a boost controller even if it does have a turbo timer and ignition retard.

what is the advantage of setting up the avcr to boost at different rpms?

running lower boost in 1st gear helps with keeping traction and getting off the line by lessening the HP going to the wheels and there by eliminating some wheelspin...
