how was your engine temps?
Well engine coolant temps aren't effected by turbo's really. As long as your coolant system is 100% its gona run the same either way. It does make the engine 'bay' temps lower, and perhaps the intake temp charges lower a little bit as a result.

Just by looking, it seems that it will be choking the motor and collects the heat where the manifold and the turbine meets

any of the wastegates failed fron excessive heat?

yes, its recommended you either have the apex wg sent out of a valve job, or get an hks or tial

the older apexi wg used a brass fiting inside the wg. they replaced it with a stainless one. i have an rx6a and its a great little turbo for the street. here is a link to where i had a recent dyno run. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/ind...howtopic=40259

14 psi on a stock port motor. i dont know if the rx6b does or not. i would assume apexi has changedd all their wg's to the new piece. i mean come on it wouldnt be good for their rep if they sold parts that blow up motors. i would call and ask apexi to see if they have fixed it though.

Called the mand ask

part numbers with 710 are the older ones (RX6A) and the 720 are the RX6B

he said the RX6B have the SS bushings, although I don't have any confidence in the way he answered that question ...

Does this turbo looses its effeciency after 15psi???
