Cool Chris. I was impressed when Steve told me the numbers you put down. I have made 470 to the wheels myself when I still had the gt 35/40. Those twin open wastegates were loud! Had to keep covering my ears while trying to change Mike Rizzo's plug wires. My female friend that was hanging out there was like wtf is going on

Thanks... yeah it was a bit loud. It's funny, being on the street it doesn't seem as bad and a few people that have ridden with me didn't really notice it being loud.... but in that warehouse... OUCH, a little bit annoying

I only saw one guy not covering his ears, (the guy with the Grand National) and he was probalby already deaf.

I didn't cover my ears either. One hand by the laptop, the other hand for the remote to turn off the dyno.... It was a fun weekend and I want to see some 10's run in your car!!

Yeah, I had no idea how you could put up with that... I don't think I could concentrate.

I'm gonna need to do something about a cage in my car before I run tens... heck, I think I need something before I can legally run 11's... just gotta figure out exactly what that is

Chris, let's talk about this housing thing, I may be buying a PT67, and I could order it with a larger housing than what I want for my application. Is that a Garrrett that you have? Carl (call me about that Manifold) 707-696-2705

Theoretically, couldnt someone make a manifold, maybe similar to an exhaust manifold? Perhaps with a different throttle body?

Do you mean intake manifold? THere are a few people that do it but mostly in Aus. Rotorwerx (I think) has one that was dyno shown to add like 40HP.... of course it really hurt low end and that HP increase was a like 30psi boost.... I was going to get one but they actually talked me out of it saying it wasn't good for a street car.

I would think something good could be made, just a function of figuring out exactly what was needed.... I'd love to try making one though.

Chris,

Contact Rotarygod from RX7club.com forum for info on custom made intake manifolds. He's done a few and has a formula for calculating the plenum size runner lengths, etc. His designs uses a Mustang throttle body but if I did one I'd probably use a Q45 throttle body because they are large, readily available and pretty cheap. It's be nice to do 3D Cad drawing of one and get a model made using an SLA machine. Then make it out of glass filled nylon.
