Hey hmmm
10.8 AFR's ?
damm should I be worried , I'm running 11.9's on WOTs
got reading from street tunning wideband not on a dyno yet
but there is no break up or hesitation
I'm running 14PSI
so is it best to lower the AFR's as you increase the BOOST?
I'm going to see If I get my car to a dyno this saturday, if I can find one open
just to do a base pull

Hmm Well I have to say you have a really nice car!! I don't say that very often so I really mean that. I am interested in the pillow ball sway bar links and stuff you have on there...where did you purchase that?
again looks like you put a lot of time in to your car and did things right.

This is a street port, although a fairly agressive one from RP a few years back. I forgot to look at the boost gauge today for boost buildup... I still want to check that myself.
I'm not super knowledgeable on tunning... I was under the impression that 10.8-11.1 was a good target for reliable power. I don't want to speak about what I don't know very well though and lead you in the wrong direction. I built the car, but I paid Steve to tune if for a good reason.
Pillow ***** are part of the Zeal Function V6 setup. Swaybar links are RB and can be had directly from them or mazdatrix. I got the Zeal suspension from Rishie at Automotive R&D.

man I need a garage to work on my car..if I had one my project would be so much further alon.. DAMN that some cool **** you have on that fc. hope I can get mine like that. Just a question. Seeing is you did all that why not do the fd uim upgrade?

haha. That is probalby the most common question that I get
I guess a couple of reasons, primarily, I haven't seen any *proof* that this is actually a performance "upgrade". I have heard numerous people claim that it gives more power... but I have yet to see any actually dyno results. Several people say that Soul Assassin made 25more HP with a ported FD UIM on his FC... but that to me is a worthless comment. The fact that it's ported negates any comparison to an FC UIM... I personally could see porting an FC UIM gaining 25 HP on a 600+HP car also. I'd love to know the truth. Perhaps someone actually has dyno numbers comparing the two?
Additionally, I wanted there to be a sense of uniquness about this car. Sure I could have purchased an FD, but lots of people own high HP FD's, so I chose to stick with the FC platform. Of the people with high HP FC's several tend to put the FD UIM on. So I chose to shave the extra numbs etc from the UIM and smooth it out a bit to give a bit nicer finish.
Having said all that, I did set out to build an optimum/efficient designed car, not just something that works, but something that works well. I still intend to port and match all my manifold pieces and TB as well as some additional work to my manifold to increase the efficiency. If the FD UIM proves to actually increase power (and by all means someone show me that it does), then I'll probalby add it. Until then, I'll stick with the FC parts
