We have corian from when the house was built in the early '80s, It's cracked in 2 places already. Like, cracked all the way through. I leaned my butt up against the sink and the thin strip in front of the sink cracked, now water drips down the crack and the cabinets below are swollen.
its probably cracked all the way through because it was not installed on a solid piece of wood, I would bet there is a wide seam under the crack, or its cracked where the counter makes a turn and they didnt bother to put any wood in the corner.
Those cracks are actually really easy to fix, I fix cracks in solid surface countertops all the time in boats, 99.9% its always due to improper installation methods, I receieved training from DuPont because they were supplying the counters for most of the boats being sold that I do warranty for.
Burns, scratches, cracks- all easy to fix, my cousin has a grantite top that is cracked, and it cant be fixed, it has to be replaced.

We went to a place that actually cuts and polishes their own marble today, picked out our slabs, 1 1/4 thick and it's only going to take 2 weeks!!! They are coming out tomorrow to do the templates.
