[quote name='treceb' date='Aug 12 2005, 10:49 PM']im in the same boat with braking and trying not to break any parts. will try and run off the waste gate for as long as i can.

also, lag is not that bad, just gives you time to hold on for dear life....and if you can vent the waste gate to atmosphere(unless you do that already). theres no better sound in the world.

everybody complains about the lag, but they have never driven one. can't say i have either.

I can't wait to feel the power of the FD now.

[quote name='Rob x-7' date='Aug 12 2005, 06:19 PM']why dont you just let them get the parts to line up and take it from there?

they shouldnt charge you more then a half days labor, not worth a insurance increase for the next 40 months

Because my policy just renewed two days ago and they already hiked my rates from the claim on the car that I hit. So at this point I am going to switch the Fd over to Haggarty and getting a new policy with State Farm for our Excursion. So considering my rates are already increased from this accident I might as well just get the car fixed out of their pocket. Then switch companies after the work is done.

ah- gotcha

you should put the damaged parts back on then so you can get paid for the parts you bought

last time I checked for agreed value, special interst/collector car insarance the application stated the car must be stock, Im guessing that can be bypassed as long as they dont send someone to inspect in person.

They had wanted a whole bunch of photos when I submitted the application.

I plan to submit the reciepts for the parts I bought to cover my $500 deductable.

Ernie T just got a policy with Haggarty for 30k something for his car and it is far from stock. Maybe you might just have the facts crossed up. He said they sent out a rep to do a walk through and look the car over first too.

Yea and I asked Ernie to double check my facts and he said that he could not remember if his was insured as a hot rod or a collectors car, but that the modifictaions were all covered.
