[quote name='viking' date='May 19 2005, 10:03 AM'] And when do boost kick in on a engine ( 20b) at these power levels ?

Zero can correct me if I'm wrong, but if a 2 rotor is giving 1 bar by 3800, I'd say that the same boost by at least 3000 shouldn't be out of the question due to the additional air the extra rotor is able to push.

Hopefully, I'm not TOO wrong here. Heh.

Too much assumption...

The big secret with 13B single turbo set-up's is to run divided turbine with each side getting one rotor.

The individual pulses from each rotor hit harder.

With the 20B, how do you go from 3 into 1 or into 2?

You can't.

Thus, the pulses need to be collected, which dampens each pulse.

The 20B should spool faster, but I don't think it's going to be that much sooner.

If it spooled like 1kRPM+ faster, I'd be very surprised.

On the flip side of things, I've heard even a 1.32 on a 20B is still too small?

The 1.15 should spool like a **** then.

Damn it. I forgot about the divided/non-divided aspect! I've experienced it with my old GT40 on the 1/2BP. Even with its size, it spooled really well with the fully divided manifold I had.

Thanks for the correction!

Ted is pretty correct about the collector that is why I am in the process of getting undivided housing made for the 42R. Which is taking me longer than I want, and hopefully not as long as it took to get my T4 divided housing made for the 35R's.
