Thumbs down

I was jumping my 3rd gen and I think I crossed the wires. Lots of sparks and such. After, I couldn't get the engine to start. No guages or anything.

Is there a fuse that I should be checking for? Or am I totally hosed?

I haven't been on the forums in a while but I really need help by tomorrow morning. I will be checking allllll night. Thanks for any help you can give.

I had a battery **** up on me once when I jumped someone and they crossed the wires, it actually reverse polarity itself

check all the fuses and try another battery if that doesnt work

im sure he would rather go to any local dealer and get the 120amp fuse if its blown rather then wait for one to come in the mail.

I hate my local dealer and would never set foot in the place. I checked every autoparts store in my area and no one CARRIES a fuse about 60 amp or some gay ****. Ray got it to me the next morning for i think 5 dollars.

to each their own but thats cheaper than driving around in my FD.

thats the same amount of wait time as it would take my local dealer to get it to me as well, they are scumbags

you F'n rock. thanks. I was afraid I blew my ECU or something (happened to a friend with a toyota) Hopefully I can find it as it is 7:30 PST and I can't get RAY anymore. I'll scour the local RX-7 shops and hopefully get one. I live in OC CA so I might have some luck. Thanks again for the quick response you just saved my *** as the car is in a public parking structure and I need to put it in storage till I get enough scratch to fix the Apex seal that is shot.

Thanks again.

no problem man. You can run the car with the fuse busted to move it. take the fuse out it says 120 MAIN or something and just press the ends together to get the car to move. hopefully this is what blew

Yeah, I'm not fond of my local dealer either. I was chatting with the parts guy one time I was in there and he said that the rotary engine was a big mistake and Mazda should never have wasted their time on it. He felt it was junk.
