[quote name='inanimate_object' date='Jul 3 2005, 06:12 AM']Push it ok? Cars like mine annihilate 99% of production cars with just 140bhp, those cars weighs pretty much the same and have slicks and downforce.

if you have never driven a true formula car... you'll wonder why you pass a pile of **** near the start line... then you'll remember that's where you left it.

I've driven something pretty close in weightower ratio... A 4 cyl go kart.

I helped build it, its a custom made go kart frame that sits abotu 1" off the ground, 1 sparco knockoff seat, and a 4 cyl motor from a wrecked yamaha yzf-r1 (998 cc)

Hand shifted (custom made linkage) foot throttle, steering rack was also custom built. the thing looks like ****, but you don't want to race. We put it side by side with my mazda to try to get a top speed. I backed out on the mazda at 120 and he was still speeding up pretty hard. he kept having to get on and off the throttle to keep from leaving me in the dust.

the thing handled like a dream. We put 13x6 wire spokes on it from a rusted out 240z and put 205/xx/13 tires on... it would pull wheelies pretty easy. fun times....

The guy that put up all the money now lives in texas somewhere and took the kart with him. bastard.
