What's the best way to tie down a battery properly? I don't want to fail tech inspection for auto-x, so I want to be sure to do it right the first time.

get a battery tie down kit from the auto parts store and attatch it to a battery tray, if the battery is in the stock location then just make sure its tied down.

When tech inspected for an Autocross we grab your battery and give it a couple of tugs in different directions. It should not move. How you go about making it not move is up to you. I have seen cargo straps and wood blocks used. It just has to be secure.

thanks fellas. I'll check out the auto parts store, and if the price doesn't suit me I'll stroll the lanes of Home Depot or Lowes.

if you haven't relocated your battery, then the stock battery tray uses the standard "j" hooks and the plate that runs across the top of the battery.

They're like 2 dollarse !
