Double Sided Tape
i've done searches... with no results,
im looking for a type of double sided tape that is very gummy and very sticky, i need it for mounting some exterior peices. its very soft, almost like a clay texture, and very thick also.
if you have any idea what this type of tape is called.

basically, you want the tape used to install those vent/shade things for side windows on cars and trucks.
You might have luck searching for places that sell those shades...they may carry the tape seperately as well.

If you're bonding panels that you;re never going to need to take apart again use a polyurethane bonder - cheap as chips, strong and doesn't go hard and brittle. Lotus Elise chassis are held together with the stuff, just have a single rivet at each corner to stop peeling. 8 Euro's/dollars worth was enough to do the floor and side panels of my whole car.

I agree, but it can be a good thing to use on a long run where there is no fastners because you know over time the body kit will sag there.
