i've done searches... with no results,



im looking for a type of double sided tape that is very gummy and very sticky, i need it for mounting some exterior peices. its very soft, almost like a clay texture, and very thick also.



if you have any idea what this type of tape is called.

basically, you want the tape used to install those vent/shade things for side windows on cars and trucks.

You might have luck searching for places that sell those shades...they may carry the tape seperately as well.

Only tape I use is 3M double sided tape, they have different ones, but the

Acrylic Foam Tape is the most common

If you're bonding panels that you;re never going to need to take apart again use a polyurethane bonder - cheap as chips, strong and doesn't go hard and brittle. Lotus Elise chassis are held together with the stuff, just have a single rivet at each corner to stop peeling. 8 Euro's/dollars worth was enough to do the floor and side panels of my whole car.

I agree, but it can be a good thing to use on a long run where there is no fastners because you know over time the body kit will sag there.

sure in the middle, but I would hope the ends are rivited and filled or something like that.
