i dont know what these cars are worth, i havent ever paid more than $300 for one that didnt run. i did pay $3000 for one that did run with everything on it once.

buy my silver one for $1500 it will make the drive to tx, or buy my grey one, it just needs to be put back together

No offense to the above, but if the body's in really good shape (no rust) (check the surround on the sunroof and the surround that the hatch rests in) it'll be worth it in the long run to pay upwards of $800.00 for the car. If you go cheap and buy a "bucket" you'll spend a hell of alot of $ on body work. As far as the tails, i'll try to post a pic this eve.

ok thanks, im going tomorrow to get it unflooded, how do i cut the fuel? i was gonna go today but the gf's rustang broke down again. i wanted to replace the plugs before unflooding but no one has them in stock, which is annoying. people at the parts stores kept telling me that they had autolite plugs for it for like $.99. i didnt know they made plugs for them, and im sure they arent high quality, but theyll work for trying to get it started i think.

you have to pull the drivers side bin and unplug the pump.

well thanks for the reply, but i was already gone! i unplugged that, the connector from the box beside it(just to be sure that wasnt what i was supposed to undo), and the injector jumper on the drivers strut tower. i guess it was severely flooded bc after some unflooding, coaxing, and a couple of acrobatic positions i got it going. it smoked for a while, from the exhaust, the back and somewhere around the exhaust mani. but it stopped after a few minutes.

the spark plugs are really bad, and i couldnt even see a spark from them when i was trying to test them. also, the smart guy has all 9eq 14 plugs on. are those the leading or trailing? i need to get some new ones bc it was missing a little.

i would have driven it but it has a flat tire, and i dont really want to move it until i buy it. along those same lines, i left the pump unplugged and the injector jumper undone a little so that he wont start it and not sell it. no one was at the house where i was working on it so know one knows that i got it started.

ok i drove the car. everything is pretty good but a couple of things. first off, when i started it it smoked for a min or two, is this normal? it wasnt a whole lot of smoke. when you rev and decel there is a rattle from the exhaust (which isnt stock) that sounds like maybe one of the convertors.

ok for the driving, the only prob is that there is a clunky knocking from the front right when hitting bumpy parts in the road. i tried to recreate the sound with it stopped by bouncing that corner up and down but it didnt work. im sure its something in the susp., any ideas?

The smoking, Ive had this happen if my rx7 has been sitting for over a week. Rotarys like to be run, they don't like to sit there. So Id say a little smoke is normal if it goes away. What I would do if I was you is replace the control arm bushings. Ive had a problem with them myself and I replaced them and the car is as tight as ever. Carl
