we just got some updated spark plugs for the rx8, same part number, parts are different. they have 4 cutouts like the fc/fd plugs now, it should help wih any no start/fouled/flooded plug issues



as an aside has anyone had problems with that here?

 

what do the old rx8 plugs look like?

 

they look like the race plugs, but in a sane heat range. the new new ones are the same but with 4 cutouts.

yes the rx8s have new plugs for the primary only, the color on the end went from white or blue to orange forgot what the trailing color is i thought it was blue anyways plugs have a hotter spark thats all, and damn they aint cheap. but the update is an old one , **** mazda changed them up over a year ago now. but if you ask me i think the whole flooding problem is in the design of the plugs, they fill up with oil, fuel , and carbon cause there so open. i have changed so many plugs now in rx8s its nuts!

6,7,9 are the heat ranges. they seem to be "colder" than the fc/fd plugs, even though the numbers are the same

 

never had a problem with my good ol' OE plugs in mine.....I'm sure it's running the older plugs, mine was built in Jun of 03....To me the flooding "problem" is a non issue.

good! that seems to be our only problem with these things. once they start they are fine

 

what is the price differnce between these rx8 plugs and FC/FD plugs?
