Well here a quick line up of tools and what to do when pulling/installing the flywheel.



10mm (sockets)

12mm

14mm

17mm

19mm

21mm

2 1/8" (Flywheel socket) (from sears or snapon)

10,12,14,17 wrenches

extensions of all sizes

clutch allignment tool (3rd gen Rx-7 works)

Lift, trans jack, a friend is good to.



o.k.

shifter

Unbolt main cat

2 under carrage braces

Support trans*** with jack

front PPF bolts

drive shaft

starter

slave cyl.

transmission bolts



She is out!



pressure plate bolts

flywheel nut



Put it back in reverse order!

Looks pretty much like the typical Mazda stuff.

Does the Rx-8 have about 90billion 10mm nuts also?

does the rx8 flywheel look like a FD flywheel?

Looks just like it except it is much lighter. That is why I used a FD lite flywheel.

do u know how much the rx8 stock flywheel weighs? are the rotors on the rx8 the same weight as the REW ones?

Yeah sure we can work it out. I have a lift at my parents house and the shop what ever is best for me at the time.
