Sup, I got a Best Motoring the July 2003, They have the Rx-8 agianst the S2000 new NA Skyline , Farilady, Integra, Impreza, and the Roadster Rs. The Rx-8 simply gets its *** beat. I know the S2000 would beat it but when the integra and passed that was sad, I dont know how Mazda did'nt turbo charge it, that was the basic problem for the 8 on the straights all the cars would eat it up. Well hopefully we'll see a Turbo version soon.

Maybe mazda thought that the Rx8 was more of a family car, so they decided not to place a turbo on there motors. Plus a turbo equals greater cost for the car when selling it.

lol I'd still get an 8. I don't give a rat's *** about loosing 8HP or loosing to whatever other car it's supposed to be classed with.

Exactly! You'll hear no complaints about the RX-8's power from me.

The RX-8 was made to also cater to consumers that want a decently fast car and a family car at the same time. I think they did a decent job, but a full bred sports car would of course been preferable. Buy the mazda 6 if you want a decent family car. But hopefully the aftermarket will be kind.
