Well...we all now know of the "revolutionary" advances that the RX8 Renesis touts. It makes awesome na power while still still being docile. It has good emmissions. It is like the ultimate rotary. It took all the good from the NA's, and the beefy build of the latest turbo rotary. Other than the high compression, it looks remarkably turbo ready. There is some debate as to wether the side exhaust ports provide as much exhaust energy as the older p-port, but the cars with turbos on them work very well. The car's complicated ecu and space limited engine bay(the engine is buried down under the firewall) are probably what makes a big power turbo setup difficult. But it can be done.

I wonder how long it will take before there are some big power Rennys hitting the streets.

Hopefuly by next year I will get my car turbo'd........I hope I can get 300 reliable rwhp. I've seen 260+ out of greddy turbo'd RX8 with good tuning and exhaust.

I like the RX8's potential...the cooling system is very good. The weakness in a big power RX8 is the tranny. I can make it last forever, but that'd be no fun...hahah

I think they are superb cars. They jumped how many hp and torq from the last N/A rotary? They also jumped the redline up another 1250rpm's. They also look oh so sexy!

Maybe we will see some results once Ryan(Fe3BOOST) gets his RX-8 dynoed with the turbo.

How big is the oil cooler? Are we talking FC size or bigger? The FC's oil cooler is pretty big from what I have seen. Which is only an FD and FC cooler.

They are just so damn sexy. I am trying to convince the g/f to get a used one, but she is not budging yet.

Yeah, I really love my RX-8 and I'd like to see what the Renesis can really do.

Hmm. Interesting. I remember the FC oil cooler being longer than that. Thanks for the picture Black8.

Why did they give the 6speed 2 and the automatic only one? Seems weird they would do that? Damn mazda.

I'm not positive, but I think on the automatics, there is a tranny cooler in the space left by one of the missing oil coolers.....
