Oil In Intake!

I would not worry too much. Just make sure your coolant light does not come on.

I am pretty sure it's an oil change overfill.....



The mechanic was asking the parts guy "How many jugs go in an '8" - the parts guy answered "It says here seven-and-a-half!"



Capacity of the whole system IS that much, but only four come out at an oil change.

I checked my air filter before my last oil change....it was clean. Then after the oil change, it was ovefilled a little, I checked the airfilter again....there was oil in it, not much but it did pool up on the intake. So I believe that it's just an overfill problem.....the stock dipstick is kinda hard to read....

Look at the backside of the dipstick. It works better when the oil is new. Or at least it does on older rotaries. I've never seen an RX-8's dipstick.
