i just drove one, and its one of the slowest ive ever driven, it was super smooth though.... did it just feel slow, or what?

he had one of those RP super cats on it, and you can smell it melting, i wonder if that was it. it wasn't that loud either

They are ok fast......definetly need some power or lose some weight. It is already decent light considering the size and modern conveniences. But, the rotary could never compete with ever increasing displacement sports cars without (A) increasing displacement themselves (B) forced induction with current displacement or © both, for a kick *** Mazda.



I would like a bigger displacement rotary, I bet with a lot more useable torque Mazda can gear the car tall enough to equal or surpass the RX8's fuel economy while outperforming it. Then it should be reliable and fast. Then for the people who like to replace motors ever few years they can add turbos and show those built FD's what the deal is.

I wonder if the car was one of the ones experiencing engine troubles. The RP supercat does not do much for performance, combined with an aftermarket exhaust, it is usually pretty loud though. Was the exhaust on that car stock. There must have been something going on with that car, no parts van is going to keep up with me.
