Well I was really thinking about it. The black looks X1000 better then the grey IMHO so I was checking it out. I took it for a drive.

Ok pros and cons for me...

PROs; not many

Looks good in BLACK only IMHO

Its NEW

Interior is more spacious

Cool interior

Clean (then again its new) hehe

CONs

NO POWER

Not many parts on the market

Usually the 1 year cars come out (even with the RX7 FD) TONS O problems.

Did I mention no power?

I hate new car smell

225 wide tires are stock, and because of the body there isnt much room to go wider unless you want to stick out passed the body. (GHEY) WELL at least the front has room to go more wide then the rear HEHE

Thats about it. Im not knocking it of course, since my PROs and CONs are about the same. I have seen them eveywhere everyday, on the track and they ALL look the same. I will be seriously thinking about this car when and if someone turbos it here in Japan. Also when some aftermarket parts are available and im not talking AERO. The bad thing is EVERY engine I have ever seen EVEN when doing it correct and all, turning a NA into a TURBO ran engine, you always get a truck load of problems. Not to mention this car is NEW and no one really even knows if it will handle it IMHO. It sure took a lot of extra time then Mazda put out on its original date to be released so its makes me a little hummmmmm you know hehe

Good luck to anyone with it though, and I will of course continue to help you guys out with parts for it. I know you cant really tune it before you get it, but its out here that means companies are already working on it......

I noticed you didn't mention anything about the handling of the car?

no power? doesnt it have more HP than a FD? (stock vs stock). and since its n/a, there is no turbo lag.

so if rx-8's have no powers, you must thinks rx7's are just plain *****.

It has less power then an FD and it weighs more.

Digisan-- agreed on the power. As for the handling not much I can say about it. My dealer is on a straight piece of road, but no real turns, so I didnt pay much attention...

cry me a river

look to be honest with you that as far as pros and cons go that was really personal list, most of your cons don't even really apply to majority of people.

like i have nothing against gray or silver plus i kinda like the new car smell (you only smell it when you get it a new car so its reactionary).

as far as no power goes that all really depends on what your comparing it to or what your used to calling power. if your comparing it to a turbo 13b then yeah its a little lacking (less torque and hp), but if your comparing it to a NA rotary then its gat heaps. i kinda like how mazda set it up. in an unofficial a report mazda engineer said that the renesis was made to take forced induction. so mazda really gave us a better starting point to work from with this car than the old one while meeting ford's insane demands for a four seats. im not upset about lower power than the previous model cause it has something more important, higher potential!!!

the tire thing is a legitimate quam but i doubt its something a wide body kit won't fix and im sure that turbos and all sorta other goodies will be just around the corner, i mean how could they ignore us if they're as common as you claim.

the only thing that worries me about the car is weight. does anyone know how much this car actually comes out to and in pounds please? im so tired of whipping out the calculator for kg or whatever.

Cockoffthewall--- WHo are U?

My opinion is JUST as good as any, I dont remember saying DONT BUY IT! Did you hear that? Oh well, everyones opinion matters which sometimes is unfortunate..

Im curious to see what will happen to the RX8 after some time. I mean its taken what about 6 months after the 350Z came out till companies here really started to make parts for it. So it will take most companies here that long to make some stuff for it, plus pretty much the only 350Z stuff out now anyway is AERO.

Widebody kit huh? Well the RX8 comes looking like it already has a wide body kit, which is cool, so your going to put a wide body/fender flares on fender flares? hummm cool...

RX8 is alright in my book, if it wasnt I would be talking about it. I just dont agree with jumping all over it cuz its new, and no parts to make it drivable for me, so IMHO the cons outweight the pros, I didnt say GODs VOICE "EVERYONE LISTEN TO ME, IM ALL POWERFUL AND KNOW ALL" ok then....

didn't mean to ruffles anyone's feathers, and like i said it sounds like your own personal list of pros and cons so im not expecting everyone to use it as a measuring stick.

as to who i am, i'm new to this site, well not really new cause i was looking at it for a while but i just registered and everything.

so once again i didn't come lookin for trouble, but you gatta admit that a dislike of the newcar smell is pretty weird.
