Alright I know on paper the G35 may have the upper hand, but do you suppose it would be for the 8 to be it in a race from a roll?

 

would be a close call from a stop and from a roll but get some right and left turns between point a and b and the 8 should take it hands down

yeah my buddy just got his 35, and has been wanting to race. But I really dont want to give him a big head even though the 8 isn't made for racing. I am thinking that I may wait to race until I get my turbo here in the next couple of weeks. But it would be interesting from a 3rd gear pull at 4500...

 

this was a suprise to me too, but from a roll in 2nd (15mphish) to top of third, i had a carrera 4 cabrio by like 2-3 cars, with an rx8



the rx8 also hangs with the factory 5 cobra's from turn 11 to turn 2 at sears point, the cobra's on slicks, we had 2 people in the 8 too

 

I think the G35 would walk the RX-8 from a roll from a stand still the g35 is slow to start.. I was not to impressed bye the RX-8 when i *** raped one in my BPU S4 N/A like total destruction. My N/A had RB Header/Presilencer/Custom catback, CAI, FC1000 Ignition, AC/PS removed, and I walked all over a rx-8.

 

just race to see how it compares. if you lose oh well, his car is faster, im sure you can redeem yourself once you have the turbo on.. Try it a couple different ways, to see which is better, maybe your friend sucks at launching... or maybe you do. maybe he misses a gear or something.

 

I own a 350Z (I know not the same thing)... But I think the performance numbers are close. I drove a RX8 and so wanted to like it... But it didn't feel fast at all. Very boring to drive. I think Mazda really screwed up on that one. Anyway my point is... No way 300HP G35 could lose to a 230HP ??? RX8



They should have just kept the RX7 and put in a 3 rotor N/A motor and called it a RX8.



The 3.5 actually has some pretty decent torque, so starting start or a roll. I think it would win hands down.
