engine swap
hay guys, new here but not to cars & bikes. iam in my 40s, & have built engines from old vw bugs to v8s. i had two 1984 rx-7s, loved them, got me hooked! long story short, i now have a wife & 05 mazda rx-8 ( play car ). the rx has about 50,000 ml. on car, 4,200 mi. on factory replacement engine. (oh yea a/t ). its all stock, i know how to take care of it, so it looks & drives great! only thing is... i miss my rx-7s!!! m/t. ive taken every pm. step i can to get as many miles out of her as i can. i live near the beach ( lots of sand ) so i change my air filter & oil change oil / filter every 1,000 miles. ive been thinking, has anyone put a 1st, or 2nd gen. engine in a rx-8? i serched but found nothing. ( not very good with computers ). iam sure alot of sencers & stuff would need to be changed. i also worked at a steel stamping room for a while so iam not scared to make things fit. just looking ahead, thanks for any info, larry... :)
