**** i'd get the motor and slap it my 7! It's about time someone starts making custom engine mount kits like they do for Acura engines in Hondas. It's worth $5k to me, where is it at?
The trans being too weak thing is bull'. A stock 7 is only slightly higher HP then a stock 8. mating up to the trans' is a different story.
The only thing i'm unsure of is the fly by wire steering. If it's not mechanical, how do you get around that? ...when a 7 is?

For $5k you'd wanna hope the engines not damaged.
