Well I was coming back from lunch today and stomped on it in 2nd gear and all of a sudden I got a strange vibration from the shifter. Now I gave some gas in 3rd and the shifter comes up about 2 inches. At idle it has a nasty vibration/rattle. I guess it wont be long for the trans to go again. People with turbos watch out here comes the problems from weak PARTS

does the RX8 use a PPF similar to what the FD does?

 

pretty close but the 8's ppf is a little longer.

 

how much is mazda gonna charge you to rebuild that?

 

i've broken several PPFs on the track car... lots of vibrations and bouncing shifter were a result of that. Possibly the same cause on yours?

 

should get a spare renesis, NA just swap it in and take it back to the dealer.



If the dealer likes you they'll prolly do the tranny, if they hate you they'll prolly tell you to get bent.

you snapped the PPF make up a trans and diff brace

 

actually if you took it to the dealer you could tell them that your car came with a turbo, thats if they even notice it has one

 

My dealer is pretty cool with me being turbo'd. The tech is real cool and said he would warrant anything that he could so I will call him shortly.
