the new one spins faster. i think they fit the turbo cars, ive got a crap load of the old starters....

rx8 starters sound sluggish. i just figured it was probably the same basic one from the older cars and the compression of the engine is what was slowing it down. spin it faster and there will be less starting problems.

I just had the updated starter installed a few weeks back. Car starts on the first try every time now. I think it spins something like 3X faster than the orginal!
