Default Adaptronic Select ECU

For a long time there hasn't been many ECU options available for the Rx-8. This is by far the best unit available on the market. It takes a simple 5 minutes to install with its adapter harness. Its MAP based VE tuning is very simple compared to the MAF based systems. All the injector and intake valve staging are automated; no other ecu has this. VE tuning is also very easy, when coupled with a wideband o2 sensor( simple 1 wire integration with ECU). Closed loop tuning also makes small corrections very easy that normally take constant tweaking with weather changes . I have plugged one of these ECUS into several Rx-8s and had the car perfectly tuned out of boost in under 25 minutes. If anyone is considering forced induction, this is the route to go.

Default Re: Adaptronic Select ECU

The new Adaptronic modular PNP RX8 ECU test models are now in production. This unit completely replaces the OEM ECU, and is no longer in piggyback arrangement like the previous select models. It has the drive by wire module standard to control the OEM dbw throttle body. It will also communicate via CAN with the OEM dash. All OEM functions will work as before( electric steering, omp, stability control , abs etc). This model will also control Rew or 20b engine swaps.
