yesterday was the 1st oil change on the 8 given by me. is it just me or is mazda making it harder for the DIY with every new incarnation of the 13b?

which leads me to ask, whats harder on the rx8, changing the oil filter or a front turn signal bulb???sheesh

im about to sell my FD and rx8 and get me another first gen.

You could probably buy the most awesome first gen ever made for the proceeds from both the FD and the RX-8!

I have to question some of the things these engineers come up with on the new cars. We are in the process of selling amy's mustang and i had to replace the battery. They decided to "reinvent" the battery cables as well as the battery box, then they went ahead and wrapped the battery in a blanket. All of this for no reason that i can figure out.

Serviceability certainly doesn't come anywhere close to the top of the list when it comes to most new car manufacturers...

Reminds me of Top Gear's timed challenge to replace a headlight bulb in some old Vauxhall vs last generation's Megane. You had to go into the wheel well to get access to the bulb so the car had to be jacked up, wheel taken off, pull the bulb through this tiny, awkwardly angled hole, somehow screw in the new one, put the wheel back on. For a bulb!
