$6000 would be a nice downpayment on a running one.
By the time you get a $6000 one up and running your looking
at spending close to $15000 in the end, maybe more depending on how much you can do yourself, not to mention the amount of time spent tracking down parts and people to do work for you like paint/bodywork.
