I would also suggest having someone go with you to look at the car if youre not familiar with them yet. (Not saying because you are a girl that is my recommendation for anyone) Im sure one of the guys on this forum would be willing to help you out Its pretty important to make sure the car has had all the recalls performed and very pertinent that you thoroughly check over the main points. Lots of people get scared thinking that when they buy a rotary they are buying something that is a time bomb. As long as you have some basic reliability mods done and you monitor engine temps and let the cool cool down properly theres really nothing to worry about. You have to remember there's LOTS of info out there and the rotary has been around for a long time so theres mechanics who are well established. Plus the fact that you are a. A girl and b. You wanna buy a 3rd gen are 2 of the biggest reasons I can think of that you should continue with your shopping.

Yeah... just remember that the RX7 is kinda high maintenance.... but I agree it's a better looking and probably better performing car than the RX8 at less than half the price... but they're also getting onto 10 years old now.

I got mine for $7500 and am loving it so far.

I'd just like to add in that half the price means your looking at around 15-20k for the car. You deff want to make sure it has had the recalls done. The other thing to look for is one that was just recently rebuilt by a good rotary mech. Say SevenSpeed, JapTrix, Pineaple, There are many more i jsut cant think of them all. Also the 5th gear synco goes made in the tranny alot try to get one with a rebuilt tranny as well and make sure the turbo is in good condition. As a baisc note never buy on the was rebuilt by a dealership, They dont know **** there are only about 3 in the country that know how to rebuild one right. Taking one of the guy's or girls's from this site would be a very good idea. If you live near a RX7 mech or the car you are looking at is close to one see if they woudl go check it out. Good luck. And do shop around it took me 6 months of shoping to find my car. And i got a beast at a great price.

Thanx'... I'm saving but I want to shop and find out as much as possible so when I'm ready to buy I get a good deal. The Montego Blue... does it come with a black interior...? How come every car I look at has a tan interior..? Did every year come in blue...? Anyone know of a blue one for sale w/a black interior...? I'm infatuated with the blue one....
