i cleaned it this thread up for obvious reasons.



its a bit scarry looking with the firewall cut out, what does the other side

of it look like, im sure it must have changed something on the inside of the

car as well?

Alright now, shut your mouth when you don't know what your talking about!



Most ALL of the car is made of 20-22 guage steel which is VERY thin, but since it is all made together for the most part, and has structureal ridges/desighns in it to stop it from bending under stress.



Now maybe you didn't know the thickness of the cars steel... But if you read the thread I patched the whole with 16 guage steel whick was just short of twice as thick. That is the strongest part of the fire wall!



And you also said the engine is coming threw the fire wall? Have you ever looked at all the room from the fire wall to were the engine would have to go to hurt you? It's like 4 feet! You would have to hit a pole dead center on the car, and even then IF you lived from the impact the engine is so narrow that it would just be sitting beside you!









OK, how about this, if someone buys the car, puts a $200 dollar down payment, I will build the exhaust useing my choice of muffler, and a 3" mandrell bent exhaust. Or if you pay for the muffler, I'll put in what ever you want. And hell, I'll even make it out of stainless steel if you want! From turbo to tip...

Hacked up? I cut the fire wall to move the engine back for better weight balance, room for the radiator, and to make the shifter reachable, seeing as how if the engine weren't set intot the fire wall 5" (the hole is about 6" deep) the shifter would be up in the dash, the shifter is acctually still about 1" farther forward than stock. So you can imagine were it would have been.



130,000 miles? OK, I've looked at all the rotor/pad on the brakes and they apear to be new/replaced within the last 2,000 miles or so. I have no reciept, but they are in very good shape, I am assumeing that it has had a full brake job. There is people out there with 200,000+ thousand mile RX-7's, what's the problem?





And as for the motor, I'll give you a guy on supraforums right now that is selling a fully rebuilt 7MGTE with metal head gasket, valve job, resurfaced, everything! As shortblock for $400, or longblock for $500.









hold up!!!! Stop there! You DO NOT know this car! It started up just as bad, if not worse! It had a freaking blown motor in it, which was supposedly rebuilt, but it had been ported so far the exhaust sleeves were GONE! Which wasn't something I wanted, I kind of like torque (low end...) It could have been fixed to stock for cheaper than this project, but I wanted something different. Your acting like I went out and bought some prestige S5 TII with 5,000 miles, and hacked it up. I've only cut three parts of the car, 1.)fire wall, 2.)tranny mount ears, 3.)Stock radiator mounts/brackets, and such to fit a chevy style radiator standing up/down. Because the main pully of the 7M is still only got like 2" of clearence, even though it is set into the fire wall, and the radiator is moved up.



It's a bigger, and more powerful motor into a lighter car. Which ='s speed. The only thing that might have been comprosemised is steering, but I still have doughts about that. Because my bro's MKIII supe could out corner my last NA 7! That thing plowed in the corners at 50! It handled like ****, so I don't think this could hurt it!





Anyone else want to try to bash? I've got a reason for everything done to the car!

wantabe, i'd give you props for a job well done if you had turned this into a clean, running car.



but as it is, it's a former TII that's been gutted and taken halfway into a swap, at which point you're bored with it.



so the RX community is out another car, and you want $3500 for someone to clean up after you.

Dude, when you post something of this nature, expect some criticism, be it constructive or not. It's the internet, GET OVER IT.



Judging by the pictures, this is NOT a pretty swap...no EXH system...no downpipe...no interest on mine and many others parts. You could think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but you didn't even complete the swap, correct?



3500 for a half-done swapped RX-7 with the totally wrong engine in god-knows-what condition is NOT a deal. That's just my .02.

Also I think I listed it, but the car also comes with an S-AFC, HKS 50mm wastegate, Turbo XS type H RFL, Custom tubular exhaust manifold for either a TO4/KKK K27, and come with your choice of either of those turbo's.



^Those parts alone are AT LEAST a $1200 dollar value!
