I've had a lot of fun with my FD but it's now time to move on. The car has just about everything in the book done to it except a body kit. I prefered the sleeper look.

I just spent 4k on having the new engine put together, 600 for tuning/misc TEC 3 items, and ~500 for the Racing beat flywheel. I have receipts for everything.



The ECU has been rough tuned with the TEC 3's

datalogging software by Electromotive's dealer in the Tampa area. Fine tuning still needs to be done (Demetrios charges 300 to do this and has a copy of my map) as well as installation of the correct TiAL wastegate spring and TEC 3 idle air control motor (I have both the spring and the idle control motor).



Even with the rough tune, the car is a monster!



Modifications include -



Engine:

• Motor - Largest streetport possible while minimizing overlap, locked rotors, competition bearings, balanced, dowel pinned, port matched – 2k miles (built by Simon Benlolo)

• Turbo – 62-1 .96 a/r turbine P-Trim with a 12 degree clip. .7 compressor housing.

• Intake manifold port matched

• Pettit Racing big bore intake elbow w/ pop-off valve

• Exhaust manifold and downpipe fabricated by G&S Racing (Carlos Gonzalez) – copy of the manifold in his 8 second 2 rotor drag car

• TiAL 46mm wastegate

• Greddy “Race Only” full exhaust with midpipe resonator – sold only in Japan

• Racing beat 12 lb flywheel with replaceable friction surface – 2k miles

• Clutchnet half composite/half organic clutch disc





Fuel System:

• Bosch Motorsports 044 in-tank pump

• Aeromotive A1000 in-line pump

• ~8AN fuel feed line, ~6AN fuel return line

• 900cc primary injectors/1600cc secondary injectors in custom fuel rail

• SX fuel filter

• Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator





Interior/Electronics/Gauges:

• ECU – Electromotive TEC 3 6/12 version (can manage a 3 rotor engine)

• Spa Digital gauges – Water temp/Oil temp, EGT/Boost, Fuel pressure/Oil pressure – mounted in a leather covered aluminum DIN panel

• Interior panels sanded and painted a metallic black with clear coat

• Sparco EVO racing seat

• Racing harnesses w/ quick release

• Short-throw shifter

• Custom chromemoly rollbar/cage - powder coated red

• Eclipse CD player w/ bose

• Viper alarm

• LoJack anti-theft system





Suspension/Braking:

• Stillen Brake kit – Ferrari F50 calipers (brembo), slotted/cross drilled rotors - http://www.stillen.com/specs/305700info.pdf

• 18x9 and 18x10 Sparco NT Racing rims

• Racing beat anti-sway bars (front and rear) with sway bar support braces

• Ground control perches, eibach springs and koni 5 way adjustable struts

Cooling:

• Custom-made ductwork to seal the radiator and intercooler (incredibly nice – made by an aviation mechanics instructor with aircraft methods) – no problems with overheating

• Carbon fiber vented hoot (painted body color)

• Dual Mocal dual oil coolers w/ stainless steel hose

• MazdaComp radiator

• Custom-fit Greddy 4 row front mounted intercooler (originally manufactured for the Toyota Supra)
