Rx-8 for cheap

im looking for a 04' to a 05' Rx-8 thats has been wrecked and still has a good motor and transmission. im wanting the 3 cylinder Renesis if possible and perferribly a six speed or automatic. im asking for anything under $1000 for the whole car. im wanting to drop the motor and transmission into my 87' Rx-7. a plus if the rims and axles are still good too.

geo metro was 3 cylinder.
I seriously doubt you are going to find an rx8 drivetrain "cheap". You would be better off to go with a t2, save some money get more hp. The 6 speed tranny really doesn't gain you a whole a lot.
The renesis is a 13b, same displacement as the 86 to 95 RX-7 engine. no cylinders.... that's the point.

i found one for four hundred at ridesafely.com, but i missed out because my computer crashed in the last five minutes...they have a couple right now for cheap but outside my price range incase any one is interested.

a $400 dollar RX8 is gonna be worth just that $400. Don't waste your time looking for something like that, find a t2 or 13B-rew drivetrain and start from there.
