no one should empty their bank account for the sake of a car, especially one that's 'high maintenance' like a 3rd gen!

You never know about this car being available in July! So far all the forums have produced are tire kickers and lowballers!
Yes, the maintenance idea is why I need to keep a certain amount in my bank acct. But as we wait, I save more, and it means more will exist in the savings despite taking out some for the car + a small loan.

If/When you can take $13.5k lmk. Good luck otherwise, I feel your pain (selling the mr2's brought lots of fake interest)

Beautiful car. You should easily be able to get your asking price.

Compression test numbers:

Front 8.2, 8.3, 8.6

Rear 8.3, 8.9, 8.3

As you can see, a very strong motor!

Yours for only $15,000 firm.

Still for sale, unfortunately there's a lot of dreamers and tire kickers on the forum!

Aint that the truth... I think it also goes with the territory, in terms of selling these FDs, and the people who desire them. I've only had my car on the market for a couple of weeks and you wouldn't believe some of the cars I've gotten! One guy asked "how much would I have to put down on the car". I was so stumped by that question it took me about a minute before I responded, "you know I'm not a bank or dealer?" And the answer was even more frightening, the guy said, "yeah, but we can work something out, right?"

I think my real problem is that I should have overpriced it to begin with, like asking $17K or $18K so that people could 'negotiate' and we could arrive at $15K. The truth is, given the condition of the car and the mods it's probably really worth $17K or $18K. Kelly Blue Book is $16.5K (dealer price) and that doesn't include any mods!

Oh well, sorry for the rant...
