Hello all. Heres my 85 GSL-SE for sale. Let me start off by admiting this is probably my first time posting on NoPistons however I have been a member of the other rotary forum, RX7Club.com, for quite a while now. Ever since I bought my 93 Touring on October 12 of last year in fact. I also own a 89 GXL. Ive just finnished my first rotary rebuild and cant wait to finnish bolting on teh accessories to see how well I did. That marks my second engine rebuild to date. Enough about me, how about that -SE.



I believe anyone looking to purchase a GSL-SE knows exactly what they are buying. Understands what makes an -SE such a desireable piece to own. In other words we all know the great things that makes the car what it is. So instead of focusing on telling you what you already know I would rather just let you know about the negatives the car has to help you make a better decision.



I bought this car just as you will see it from a salvage yard owner who towed the car up here to Maryland for a woman who let it overheat in North Carolina. The only reason it was left in the yard is because the owner didnt have enough to pay the for the tow and decided to turn over the car and tittle to the owner of the yard. The heat damage can be seen on the hood paint and the passanger side of the car. This is a purely asthetic issue though. As you will see the car was kept fairly well.



The paint otherwise is near flawless for a car of its age and the interior is very clean and has since been vacumed out and wipped down. After I bought it from the Yard owner it was dropped off at my garage and the engine was removed and the car was stored right next to my 89 GXL and 93 Touring.



I removed the exhaust. It was shot and we weld up our own pipes now for every exhaust project so I would actually like to fabricate in an exhaust for the buyer before it goes if buyer would allow me to. I know how much of a pain it can be to try and locate/source and ship a short or long block I am actually going to include one with the sale. I have two actually...once engine is siezed and the second one is free spinning however lacks full compression on the rear rotor. I plan on rebuilding this engine for the -SE of it does not sell before I get the time too.
