Now On Ebay: 1993 Mazda Rx7 R1 Racecar
#1
I am selling a very fast and well-sorted 1993 Mazda RX7 R1 racecar. Built and driven by Peter Farrell in the IMSA Firehawk/ESS/GrandAm series. Also driven by Boris Said and Mitch Piper, among others.
Makes 350HP at the wheels, which puts flywheel output somewhere around 390-400HP. The car weighs only 2600LB wet.
Current SCCA logbook in ITE. All safety equipment up to date. Ready to race!
More details and link to auction here:

Good luck

Well, I'm not exactly trying to "get rid of it" - I don't want to sell it, but circumstances dictate that I should.
But you're right - it has taken a while. If I were selling an ITA/B/C/S or SS car, I'd have a line of people trying to buy it. It seems that my target audience is quite small, and I have to get the word out to them at the right time.
Assuming I sell it, I hope that someday I might be able to buy it back. You never know...

HMMMMM.ported motor??????? Certainly dear Peter did not contest the R1 in IMSA ported did he? We were next to him in the paddock @sebring for his first season and had plenty of experience with ported 12a's and damn if we did not suspect as much. Not a problem for us then in our mx-6 ss tho.

The motor that is in the car now is not the same one from the IMSA days. I can't speak for what he did to the motor at that time...
