Default In No. Va - Ported 1990 S5 Turbo II for project or parts

So my beloved car is having some problems, and I've decided that it's time for them to become someone else's problems.

The car is a black 1990 Turbo II. There's 88k on the chassis and 12k on the motor. A ported engine was put in by Kyle Rusert about two years ago, where up until June it was a regular daily driver. The car runs on the stock turbo at 10 pounds of boost. Unfortunately Kyle's not in the business anymore, and the car is having issues that need sorting.

First off, the problems:
-The car chokes at 2400 RPM. This is the big issue. I don't know if it's an ECU issue, an issue with the oil metering pump, or something else. I took it to a shop and they couldn't make sense of how Kyle set up the wiring harness when the swap was done; they wanted to put in a whole new harness and start from scratch. Obviously, this was not an option for me.

-The car is also running super rich, which may or not have something to do with the above. When the engine swap was done, everything was set up so that the car would run "pretty good", until I could upgrade to an engine management unit, which didn't end up happening. Even so, the car ran well enough until everything else started going bad.

-The car has expired plates and registration, because it's not running well enough that I can get it inspected. If you won't need it smogged, that's great. If you will need it smogged, keep reading: Currently, the catalytic converter has been hollowed out and is just a straight pipe. The car passed smog inspection after the swap, and shortly after the inside of the converter was taken out because it was starting to clog. I have an oem catalytic converter standing by, but only learned when I took the car in that the exhaust system doesn't use the oem flange, and the cat that was in the car was modified to fit by the previous owner. You'll either have to put in a new exhaust or cut the cat that I have (which comes with the car).

-The brake rotors became pitted due to spending a lot of time immobile. They'll need to be replaced or resurfaced.

Those are the big issues. There are a couple smaller things:
-The fuel gauge doesn't read accurately.
-The passenger window doesn't work, although according to Kyle it might be as simple as resoldering the connections on the driver's side switch. As I haven't been in contact with him in a while, you can tell that I never really tried to look into the problem.
-I think there's a loose connection with the heater/AC switch, and while it's usually fine, sometimes it's temperamental.
-Like apparently every FC out there, the sunroof is all jammed up, and also rusting.
-The hatch strut on the passenger side is leaking, so the hatch is easy to lift when it's hot and a pain when it's cold.
-The driver side door lock and the ignition cylinder are super worn. I would have liked to replace them, but that never happened
-The paint is rusting on the bottom of the driver side door over about a 7-8 inch area. In general, the doors are pretty dinged up.
-The driver's seat is getting pretty worn out. The passenger side still looks pretty good.
-The vents on the the sides of the top of the dash are broken (left side) or missing (right side)
-There is no rubber cover for the clutch pedal.

The car looks decent, but the paint is original, so there are definitely scratches on it.

The mods as far as I know, are:
-Corksport exhaust
-steel brake lines
-Magnecor ignition wires
-Racing beat radiator hoses and braided oil lines
-Racing beat fuel cut defender
-Corksport short shifter and Mazdaspeed
-Blow off valve of unknown make
-Street ported kouki 13bt
-Autometer Boost Gauge
-Extra grounding straps
-Supra fuel pump
-Rebuilt and painted calipers
-17 inch Mustang GT wheels
The wheels, exhaust, brake lines, blow off valve and boost gauge were all done by the previous owner. There's also a turbo timer that came with the car that has never worked. I did the short shifter, and Kyle did everything else.

The car is located in Fairfax, Northern Virgina. Because of the issues running and the expired tags, it will need to be towed.
I'm asking $1700 obo. That's probably about 15% of what I've put into this car, and less than the engine is worth, but I'd really like to get this moved quickly, and before winter really hits. Please PM me or send any questions directly to fd7994 "at" yahoo.com

The rust spot on the door.

The catalytic converter's in that cardboard box.
