Greetings everyone, I usually only read and lurk here, but am selling my CYM, so I an now a real live member. Family issues have caused the need to sell my CYM. It is a 93 RX-7 CYM R-1. I am the original owner of it, have had it since Feb of '93.
It has 94k on the chassis and 33k on a Pettit street port 3MM rebuild.
Engine mods
Pettit racing High flow twins, done during rebuild
9.5 lb flywheel, During rebuild
ACT S/S clutch During rebuild
Synchro update During rebuild
FPD replaced During rebuild
S/S downpipe since approx 30k miles('96)
S/S mid pipe since approx 30k miles('96)
Fabricated catback since '94.
Also has an Apex'i FMIC,
Apex'i Power FC
Airpump removed
Spiralcell Battery located to passenger side bin.
Coolant Gauge linearity mod done.
Has a Koyo rad, both Koyo and A/C condensor are relocated to standing up verses the not very good location that the Apexi FMIC kit is designed to do.
Also has cold air intake with plumbing custom fabricated to place 1 K&N airfilter under each headlight and draw air through the oil cooler intakes.
Has custom made 3" pipe to replace restrictive plastic cross pipe, pictures of engine bay will more sense.
Exterior is in good or better condition, not perfect, it is a 10 year old car, has a few light dings. Exterior has C-west headlight kit and Apex'i nose with Catz 85W driving lights. No oxidation on the paint and it still looks quite sharp and turns heads no matter where it goes. Has SSR Integral A2 wheels 18x8F 18x9R with Potenza S-03's rears have less than 1k miles, fronts have 5k. One rim has some curb rash.
Interior is in good condition, drivers seat has wear on outer bolster from getting in and out. Original shift **** has leather coming off and steering wheel has wear at top of wheel. The interior has had all the plastic pieces that peel repainted in a graphite color, it has some contrast with the black on the rest of the interior but is not obtrusive. Car has a Sony ES CD head unit, a 50x4 channel amp that powers 6.5" component speakers in the front doors and 6.5" mid woofers in the rear speaker locations. Also has a 200W Amp powering 2 10" subs located inside the drivers side storage bin.The A/C has been retrofitted to R134a and works on fan speed 1,2 and 4 as most Power FC equiped cars do.
Thats all I can think of right now. Car has always been garage kept. It has never seen a drag strip and actually very few street races. Has never been dynoed, just didn't have time/ oppurtunity. Have original wheels, Cat, stock DP, airpump,and msc assorted parts. If I think of more I will either Edit or add to the thread. It was a new compressor with R-134a compatible oil, a new dryer, and all o-rings were replaced with ones for 134a. I do not have the stock Skin or headlight assy's. The only cutting ever done was a little piece of sheet metal during the install of the Apex'i FMIC, it was required to make it fit. But the intake pipes route through existing holes.
