Beautiful car for sale...

Is the fastback a '65, or is it a later model? I've been looking for a rustang for awhile, and can't find a decent 65. I'm beginning to think its a lot of effort to find one that has functional air scoops.. maybe I should just settle for later models as well.

How did you come across that one?

It's a 68 fastback. I wanted a 67 or a 68 fastback, I just got lucky when I was searching. I found it on a vintage mustang forum. The guy has owned it for the last 17 years and has the original build sheet. I just hope it is worth it once I go up there to pick it up. From all the pictures, it looks like a go!

If you don't mind me asking, how much are you planning on paying for that rustang project car?

Original sheetmetal? Unbelievable. I hope all that bondo/primer was used to 'enchance' the metal surface and not to fill it.

Link the mustang forum url, I'm still dying to get one.

There's something backwards about paying more for a car now than it originally cost close to 20 years ago, that doesn't run (i'm assuming) and has the worst paint job ever.

...god, just give me the chance.

yup, we're freaks.

Good luck with the rustang. Keep a online blog (with MANY pics) of how the rustang project is going.

Yeah paying way more for a car now than it was actually sold for doesn't sit too well with me either...

Don't worry, I'll keep a couple of pages on my web site dedicated to the restoration. I'm planning on going all out on this one so it's going to take a while. I'll definately have tons of pics!
